"One should enter or perform spiritual practice with a motivation similar to the motivation and attitude of a child who is fully absorbed in sports or play. A child fully engrossed in play gets so delighted with it that the child never feels satisfied - such should be your mental attitude" ~Dalai Lama
Such a fitting quote, as I am a sponge constantly reading and learning. My brain can never obtain enough knowledge. This applies to so many wondrous and divine influences. I have discovered much comfort in nature, in the study and learning of all things spiritual and of good service. Peace envelopes my heart through constant meditation and study.

Mother Nature's Son
Mother Nature's Son
The Beatles
Born a poor young country boy--Mother Nature's son
All day long I'm sitting singing songs for everyone.
Sit beside a mountain stream--see her waters rise
Listen to the pretty sound of music as she flies.
Find me in my field of grass--Mother Nature's son
Swaying daises sing a lazy song beneath the sun.
Mother Nature's son.
Blackbird
Blackbird
The Beatles
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Feel the Tide
Feel the Tide
Mumford and Sons
She sits him down in a stiff chair
Rubs his back and strokes his hair
Telling him it's okay to cry
But he just sits and stares
The merciless moon outside
Has nothing now he's come to realise
Only the desolation he feels
The cold distance inside
But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning
While the priest just sits and weeps
Lamenting the fact that he can see
Darkness and light in so much detail
He has given himself over
Refusing what he knows to be real
He turns away from every meal
Starving himself of goodness
He doesn't think he can heal
But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning
"What if I lost all I had?"
Said the stranger to his dad
And the witness was confused
He can't tell what is bad
Instead he runs up to the nearest girl
And he comments on her glorious curls
Says, "Darling come with me
I'll show you a whole new world"
But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning
Hold on to what you Believe
Hold on to What you Believe
Mumford & Sons
I, I can't promise you
that I won't let you down
And I, I can't promise you
that I will be the only one around
when your hope falls down
But we're young, open flowers in the windy fields
of this war-torn world
And love, this city breathes the plague
of loving things more than their creators
I ran away
I could not take the burden of both me and you
It was too fast
Casting love on me as if it were a spell I could not break
When it was a promise I could not make
But what if I was wrong?
But hold on to what you believe in the light
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight
And now this land means less and less to me
without you breathing through its trees
At every turn the water runs away from me
and the halo disappears
and the hole when you're not near
So what if I was wrong?
But hold on to what you believe in the light
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight
So hold on to what you believed in the light

The Search for Enlightenment
I am starting a new journey or quest as you may call it. It is one I put on hold because I thought I found something more important and in the end it was not what I expected. Thus, my journey to enlightenment begins again.
The thought I choose to share today on this pathway is one from the Dalai Lama. A man whom is wise and brings peace with his thoughts.
"We are all here on this planet, as it were, as tourists. None of us can live here forever. The longest we might live is a hundred years. So while we are here we should try to have a good heart and to make something positive and useful of our lives.
"Whether we live just a few years or a whole century, it would be truly regrettable and sad if we were to spend that time aggravating the problems that afflict other people, animals and the environment. The most important thing is to be a good human being."
With peace and love in my heart I share this thought with you all. I hope you all had a joyous loving day with your family on this Thanksgiving. May your journey bring you joy and love.

A death that eats at the soul
I died yesterday. I felt my blood pulse through my arteries and the pulsing slow down until my entire body went numb. I know physically I am still alive; walking, breathing however I am so numb I can't feel any physical pain.
My blog has been neglected, because I met a wonderful man who stole my heart. Now he has broken my heart. What was left of my heart is broken beyond repair.
"I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all." ~Alfred Lord Tennyson
Now that I have loved I shall never love again. No one can repair the hole in my heart.
